This beautiful Young Chang 52” Professional Series upright piano has just arrived to our Menchey Music Service –Timonium, MD piano gallery location.

This model U-131 features all maple action parts, a solid spruce soundboard, a pedal-activated mute system and a top lid that props open or folds all the way back. The finish is popular polished ebony and the styling features Queen Anne style legs. It is truly a lovely instrument, and appropriate for beginners to advanced players. The sound is rich and full due to the longer strings and a larger solid spruce soundboard. This Young Chang upright would be a great investment in quality and performance.

In 1956, three brothers — Jai-Young, Jai-Chang, and Jai-Sup Kim — founded Young Chang and began selling Yamaha pianos in Korea under an agreement with that Japanese firm. In 1964 Yamaha and Young Chang entered into an agreement in which Yamaha helped Young Chang set up a full-fledged manufacturing operation. In 1975 the arrangement ended when Young Chang decided to expand domestically and internationally under its own brand name, thus becoming a competitor. Today, Young Chang is owned by Hyundai Corporation and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fine pianos.

This instrument has been thoroughly inspected and detailed by our technical staff. Preparation includes removal of all keys to clean the key bed, cleaning and sterilizing the key-tops, vacuuming the inside cavity and back of the instrument, tuning, action regulation and cabinet detailing.
