Welcome to Menchey Music Service in York, PA! We are located just off I-83 in the Queensgate Shopping center by RC Theatres and Weis Market. If you have been looking for a music store in York, PA to serve your needs you have found it!

Thinking about trying a new instrument? Does your child want to start band or orchestra? Maybe you have decided to start playing again after taking a break. Wherever you are in your musical journey our group of experienced musicians are ready to help with anything you may need.

At Menchey Music you can browse through our variety of sheet music and musical accessories. You can test a new guitar with different amplifiers. Sit down at one of our Yamaha Clavinova or Casio Celviano Digital Pianos and discover all they can offer you. We offer a convenient rental plan so you can test out a new band or orchestra instrument. You can also take advantage of our other services including private lessons, instrument repair, piano tuning, and guitar restrings.

Private Lessons

Our York location has 11 private lesson studios and a growing roster of students. Our lessons studios offer a comfortable waiting room with free wifi for your convenience. At this time we are offering both online and in-person lessons.

Meet Our Staff

Jon Mrenna, Store Manager

Jon Mrenna is a professionally trained percussionist who has been performing since 1997. Jon has been teaching private lessons through Menchey Music since 2010, was hired as the Lesson Coordinator in 2019, and has been managing the York location since 2021. He actively performs with the Beatles cover band Crossing Abbey Road and the Spring Garden Band. Jon recently received his masters degree in Music Business through Southern New Hampshire University in partnership with Berklee College of Music. When Jon is not at Menchey Music, you can find him performing throughout the central PA area, hiking anywhere he can find a trail, or doing literally anything involving Star Wars.

Corey Gochenaur, School Service Representative York Area

Corey has been calling on York area schools since 2005. His main instrument is saxophone but he also sings in the church choir. When he isn’t running around York county you can find him golfing, hiking, or spending time with his kids. You may also find him in the middle of a Crossfit workout or discovering new essential oils.

Neal Gross, School Service Representative York Area

Neal started with Menchey Music in 1986 and has been calling on York area schools since 1991. Neal is a freelance trumpet player and currently is the leader of The Jazzberries Band. In his spare time, he is working on his metal refinishing/polishing business, supporting his wife’s and daughter’s music activities, and looking for more antique lanterns to add to his collection. You may even see him driving around in his classic corvette.
