We are Central Pennsylvania and Maryland’s largest independent full service school music dealer. Our primary focus is to serve and benefit the needs of educators and their music programs. Through retail stores, an affiliate network, and a team of school service representatives, we are able to provide a competitive, full service solution to music educators. We do this by bringing the music store right to you so that you can focus on the important stuff – music education.
What can we offer your program?
Menchey Music provides a full-service solution for music educators. Whether you need weekly school service, a specialized print music department, or flexible rental plans for your students, we have the resources to support your musical needs.
Rental Plans – Band and Strings
We offer a flexible starter period followed by monthly payments, with trial lengths and accessories customizable by educators.
Students can apply credit from their beginner rental toward an intermediate or professional instrument through our flexible rent-to-own program.
Our service representatives visit schools weekly to support educators, students, and families.
Our in-house service department offers band and orchestral repairs at special school pricing, typically with a one-week turnaround. Piano tuning is also available.
For students who own their instruments, whether purchased from Menchey Music or elsewhere, we offer an affordable extended maintenance plan.
We offer one of the nation’s largest print music departments, with special educator pricing and specialists available for recommendations.
Musical Instruments & Accessories
We have access to most major brands and offer substantial discounts to school partners. Menchey Music is also a Pennsylvania COSTARS Supplier (Contract #034-E22-145).
Our eight retail stores provide rentals, sales, accessories, print music, digital pianos, guitars, private lessons, and repair pickup/drop-off services.
Orchestral String Gallery & Specialist
Our Hanover, PA location offers a wide selection of intermediate and professional string instruments, with a string specialist available to help schools and advancing students find the right fit.
Expert Clinicians
We partner with clinicians who provide professional development opportunities for educators and students.
Second Sounds Scholarship Program
Our scholarship program provides instruments to students with financial need throughout their school music career, supporting our vision that every student should have the opportunity to enrich their life through music.
Menchey Music offers professional piano tuning and a full range of technical services for acoustic and digital pianos.
