Welcome to Menchey Music Service in Lancaster, PA! You will find us in Granite Run Square at the corner of Manheim Pike and Granite Run Drive.

Have you made the decision to start a new instrument? Did your child come home from school and let you know they are joining band or orchestra? After not playing an instrument for years have you decided to start again? No matter where you are in your musical adventure, our team of skillful musicians are here to help every step of the way.

At Menchey Music you can take your time and browse through our large variety of sheet music and musical accessories. You can benefit from our convenient rental plan for orchestra and band instruments. We offer a wide variety of other services you can take advantage of including piano tuning, instrument repair, private lessons, and guitar restrings.

Our Lancaster location is also the home of our Central Pennsylvania Yamaha Piano Gallery. You will find a wide variety of Yamaha Clavinova and Casio Celviano digital pianos, as well as Yamaha upright and grand pianos. We are also proud to offer the award-winning Disklavier player piano. In addition, we have a constantly changing selection of used and clearance pianos available.

Private Lessons

Menchey Music Lancaster has 9 private lesson studios.  Our lessons studios offer a comfortable waiting room with free wifi for your convenience. At this time we are offering both online and in-person lessons.

Meet our Staff

Gail Draude, Store Manager, Piano Gallery Manager

Gail has been working in the music industry since 1998 and has been the manager of our Lancaster location since 2008. She became the Piano Gallery manager as well in 2016 and has completed the Yamaha Piano Pros training. When she isn’t at the store managing, she is spending time with her husband and 3 kids. She is a huge Penn State football fan and avid tailgater.

Paul Murr, School Service Representative

Paul Murr joined the Menchey Music School Service Team in 2023 after spending over twenty years teaching music in the Lancaster Catholic School system. He is also a faculty member at The Tell School of Music at Millersville University, teaching applied Percussion.

Paul is also an active freelance percussionist. He has a diverse performing and recording career. He is a percussionist with the Allegro Orchestra in Lancaster, PA and as a drum set artist he has worked with Jeffrey Gaines, Jackie Evancho, Fauna Flora, Imitation #9 (Beatles Tribute) and numerous singer songwriters from the Mid-Atlantic region. A proponent of New Music, Paul held the percussion duties with the award winning NakedEye Ensemble through 2017. He holds a BA in Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he studied percussion with Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame member, Dr. Gary Olmstead.
