Young Chang – Model U121 – Polished Ebony – 48” Upright

This beautiful Young Chang Professional Studio Upright Piano, U121 is a 48” tall professional instrument. The sound is rich and full due to the longer strings and a larger solid spruce soundboard. This Young Chang upright sounds and plays wonderfully and would be a great investment for both beginner or professional piano players.

 

In 1956, three brothers — Jai-Young, Jai-Chang, and Jai-Sup Kim — founded Young Chang and began selling Yamaha pianos in Korea under an agreement with that Japanese firm. In 1964 Yamaha and Young Chang entered into an agreement in which Yamaha helped Young Chang set up a full-fledged manufacturing operation. In 1975 the arrangement ended when Young Chang decided to expand domestically and internationally under its own brand name, thus becoming a competitor. Today, Young Chang is owned by Hyundai and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fine pianos.

 

This instrument has been thoroughly inspected and detailed by our technical staff. Preparation includes removal of all keys to clean the key bed, cleaning and sterilizing the key-tops, vacuuming the inside cavity and back of the instrument, tuning, action regulation and cabinet detailing.
