The Yamaha model U1 – 48” upright is considered the “Hallmark” upright piano for Yamaha, and the most sought-after single model in the history of piano making. This unique instrument was built new in year 1982 and has since been lovingly maintained in a local non-smoking home.

 

This Yamaha U1 was manufactured in Japan and “seasoned for destination” for the USA climate. The longer string length of the 48” high U1 and solid spruce soundboard produce a sound that is rich and full-bodied. The action is smooth and responsive to every musical expression.
