On June 21st, 2021 Menchey Music celebrated Make Music Day In-Store & Online. Employees, Students, Teachers, and more came together to perform and provide entertainment on Monday, June 21st. We had so much fun hosting and are already looking forward to Make Music Day 2022! We know some of you may not have social media so we decided to do something different. We are putting our videos here so that everyone can enjoy the amazing performances that we had on Monday! We can’t wait to celebrate again next time.
Make Music Day is a global celebration of music that takes place on the summer solstice each year. Typically, the event consists of free live outdoor concerts in over 1,000 cities worldwide, but this year the event was semi-virtual. Make Music Day started in France back in 1982 and was created by their Ministry of Culture as a new holiday where music would be played throughout the city streets by anyone and everyone who wanted to perform. And now, 38 years later, the event is celebrated in over 120 countries worldwide!
