Timonium Instructors – String Instruments

The following is a list of our current string instrument teachers at our Timonium location.

Karen Gorden

  • Believes training in classical music creates a great foundation which can empower people to move in different musical directions
  • Instruments Taught: violin, viola
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 12+

Fereshteh Mauro

  • Teaches whole musicianship including scales, music theory, ear training, technique, posture and bowing
  • Registered Suzuki teacher
  • Instruments Taught: violin, viola
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 4+

Sara Norris  (currently not offering on-line lessons during COVID-19 restrictions)

  • Currently teaches middle school orchestra in Baltimore County
  • Instruments Taught: violin, viola, cello
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 5+

Christian Parker  

  • Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Performance from Temple University
  • Instruments Taught: cello
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 6+

Jacob Rivers

  • Believes that students learn best when music is made fun for the student
  • Instruments Taught: violin, viola, cello, string bass
  • Minimum Age Required: 7+

Ryan Stewart 

  • Violinist, composer, and teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools
  • Instruments Taught: Violin, Viola, Cello
