Now available at our Menchey Music Service, Timonium, MD Piano Gallery is this original and unique Steinway model “M” Contemporary grand piano. This lovely 5’7″ instrument is all original and was purchased new by its one owner in year 1968. The piano has been well maintained in the home of a local Baltimore resident.

Designed with a scale based on the larger Model O, the Model M was crafted to provide a slightly smaller and easier to manage alternative to other Steinway Grands. The Model M is still being manufactured today and is a popular staple of both the New York and Hamburg Steinway piano lineups. Steinway Model M Grands are very popular in home settings and are also commonly found in institutional and other professional uses. The 5’7″ Model M is definitely not a piano to underestimate, with a power and range of tone coupled with a quick responsiveness that is sure to please.

This particular instrument was built by Steinway in New York in year 1968. It’s unique contemporary cabinet is finished in a satin ebony cabinet. The legs are round rather than the traditional square legs and are capped in brass ferrules. The pedal lyre and support system is all brass, which adds a sleek and unique look to the instrument. The original factory matching bench with music storage is also included with the piano. We have employed the services of a Steinway finish specialist to detail this lovely piano and bring it back to its original showroom floor condition.

All the components of this vintage Steinway are original and in excellent working order. The piano is tuned to A-440 and this instrument was professionally adjusted, cleaned and sanitized using an EPA approved disinfectant. Menchey Music, founded in 1936 is a reputable Baltimore piano dealer who will assist with the purchase and delivery arrangements. The total sale price includes the matching bench and one complimentary tuning in your home. Professional delivery can be arranged to your home for a very reasonable cost.
