Our Menchey Music piano gallery location in Timonium, MD has just received this lovely one-owner Baldwin, model 246 walnut 45” studio piano. This model is from Baldwin’s top-of-the-line “Hamilton” series of fine instruments. This lovely traditional walnut piano features a “designer cabinet” that includes a lovely grand-style tilt lid.
The Baldwin “Hamilton” piano is Baldwin’s all-time best-selling instrument. You will find a Baldwin Hamilton in the studios of piano teachers and in many institutional settings such as colleges and music conservatories. Features of this series include a solid spruce soundboard for tonal clarity and projection, an exclusive full-blow action for fast and responsive keystrokes, a 19-ply pin-block for tuning stability and exclusive Baldwin-made hammers for tonal clarity. The longest bass string of this model is equivalent in length to a 5’8” Baldwin grand, giving the instrument a full and powerful sound.
This instrument has been thoroughly inspected and detailed by our professional technical staff. Preparation includes removal of all keys to clean the key bed, cleaning and sterilizing the key-tops, vacuuming the inside cavity and back of the instrument, tuning to A-440, action regulation and cabinet detailing. This beautiful Baldwin is in excellent condition inside and out and has a full and rich tonal quality. It will provide many years of musical enjoyment for any beginning to advanced player.
