    Midi Theory  - An introduction to M.I.D.I. (Musical Instrument Digital Interface)  The ins, the outs, and the thrus.  What is M.I.D.I.?  How does it work?

    Digital Pianos -  What is a digital piano and what can you do with it?  From basic single voices to complex sequences and style accompaniments, digital pianos are quickly becoming the standard instrument in both teaching studios and recital halls.  In 2003 digital pianos out sold acoustic pianos nation-wide for the first time.  Don’t be left behind, learn why.  

    The Allen Organ - Digital organs at their best. How does a digital organ work? What’s inside of an Allen?  A brief history of Allen Organ Company - where they came from and where they are heading, highlighting technological breakthroughs. Learn the basics of sitting at a console and using the organ to its fullest potential from the company who invented the digital organ.  In 2003 the first Allen digital organ was put on display at the Smithsonian Institute as the world’s first digital consumer product.

    Using a Computer in  Worship – Yamaha and Steinberg have created a new bundle of hardware and software to allow the church musician to turn their computer into a powerful worship tool.  This allows the user to create a virtual orchestra and incorporate all the church’s electronic musical instruments into one control, incorporate PowerPoint and midi sequencing into your live performances.     

    Acoustic and Hybrid Pianos - The history of the Yamaha piano.  How is it manufactured and where is it heading? Learn proper care and maintenance of your instrument and experience first-hand the technological leaps that have been made to perfectly blend the classical tradition with current technology. Learn about the hybrid piano’s use in rehearsal, recording, and performance.  

    The Organ Project at First Presbyterian - Menchey Music Service and Allen Organ Company have recently completed the renovation of the organ at First Presbyterian Church.  Learn what goes into an organ rebuild and how the organ will be augmented digitally to create a seamless marriage of tradition and cutting edge technology.

    Digital PA System Basics – How do you use microphones correctly what is Digital Mixing and how can it be used in a worship setting.  Learn how to save your mixing settings in a digital console, see first hand how easy it is to convert your tape ministry to a digital format that can be posted to your church website or emailed.
